These pendants are hand blown and sculpted borosilicate glass with colored glass and clear glass. The metallic colors are made using sterling silver and 24k gold in a process called fuming.This specific technique starts with a flat rod of clear glass that is fumed and then covered with two stripes.The end of the rod is then heated in the flame and twisted until a cone shape is formed. The remainder of the unused rod is burned off and then the pattern is usually backed with another color. This style is very difficult to photograph but is stunning in real life when viewed from multiple angles.
